Is your driveway full of cars?

If you have several cars and you leave them all on your driveway when you're away, it's safe to say that they won't move for a week or two.

Unfortunately, this is also a clear sign to a would-be car thief that you're away from home and the keys may well be inside.

Given that most burglaries these days happen just to steal car keys and then the cars, it makes sense to put burglars off the scent by considering the following steps:

♦  Park as many cars as you can inside a garage

♦  Leave one of your cars with a friend so they can keep an eye on it for you

♦  Put a sign on your car dashboard saying something like "DANGER - this car is not roadworthy".

♦  Consider installing lockable bollards on your drive behind your cars

♦  Consider installing lockable gates at the front of your house
